Kentucky Rolls Over Miami-Ohio 42-0
The Wildcats showed a tremendous effort and improvement from last season. They started out the season with a 42-0 shut out over the Miami-Ohio Redhawks. It was the first shut out by Kentucky in over a decade. The action all got started off in the 2nd QT when Daniel Raudubaugh of Miami-Ohio through an interception to S Calvin Harrison. On that drive, Mike Hartline would throw a TD pass to WR Randall Cobb. Lones Seiber's extra point was good. UK has a 7-0 lead. The next drive would be another TD for the Cats. Derrick Locke would score a TD and the PAT was good for Lones Seiber. UK increases their lead to 14-0 on that drive. UK would end the 2nd QT with another TD. This time, it would be Mike Hartline throwing the TD pass to WR Chris Matthews. Lones Seiber's FG was good and UK would score 21 points in the 2nd QT. In the 3rd QT, Randall Cobb would run the ball in himself for a TD in the wildcat formation. Lones Seiber FG was good for a 28-0 Kentucky lead. Daniel Raudubaugh threw another interception and Trevard Lindley returned the interception for a 25-yard TD. The extra point was good by Lones Seiber and UK is now ahead 35-0. In the 4th QT, Moncell Allen ran in for a 9-yard TD. Lones Seiber FG was successful and won the game 42-0. The Wildcats next game will be the 19th at vs the Louisville Cardinals.
