Cats Win 86-73
24,288 came to watch a game today that in the beginning was a nailbiter. Long Beach State, was keeping it close the whole first half and some of the 2nd, but luckily in the last 10 minutes, UK was able to pull it out and go up by points up in the teens. Next game for UK will be in Rupp Arena against Hartford on Dec. 29 (Tue) at 7:00 to finish up December.

Kentucky Wins 2,000 Video
I tried to use Tom Leach audio from the ending of the 2,000 game that my friend Catsfan39 gave me, but my computer wouldn't let me save the video when I put it in.

Kentucky Gets 1,999th Win vs ASPU
John Calipari made history today when he coached the Cats to a 90-69 win over the Austin Peay State Governors. Patrick Patterson, DeMarcus Cousins, and John Wall all played huge games today. Four players scored double figures today; Wall, Patterson, Cousins, and Miller. DeAndre Liggins got the valuable experience he needed today if he is going to play a major role in Kentucky's productivity down the stretch. He played 12 minutes and scored 2 points. Austin Peay played the Cats well for most of the game. They gave a tremendous effort in today's game and will head back to Clarksville to host the Evansville Aces. Kentucky takes on Drexel Monday night on ESPNU seeking to be the first program to reach 2,000 all-time wins.

Kentucky Showing Interest In #1 Rated JUCO Prospect
Calipari and the rest of the coaching staff have been to show interest in the #1 rated JUCO prospect Ricardo Ratliffe to fill there front court void going into next season. Ratliffe currently plays at Central Florida Community College in Ocala, Florida. He is 6'8 215 lbs from Hampton, Virginia. He reminds me quite a bit of Matt Pilgrim who we never got to see play at UK due to sitting out because of transferring and the firing of Billy Gillispie. His final list includes Missouri, Louisville, Clemson, Cincinnati, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma and LSU, but UK is trying to get involved in the recruiting sweepstakes of Ricardo Ratliffe.

Kentucky Wins The Battle of The Border VS Indiana
The Kentucky Wildcats picked up a huge win for them vs border-rival Indiana Hoosiers. Eric Bledsoe was the star of the show for the Cats today with 23 points( 4 threes). Patrick Patterson was good for another double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Kentucky struggled early on in the game and only held a one point lead at half time. Kentucky opened it up in the 2nd half adding 19 points to their lead by the end of the game. DeAndre Liggins also made his season debut today ending the ongoing speculation as to why he hadn't appeared in a game prior to today. Kentucky now has 1,998 wins. UK's next game will be next Saturday vs Austin Peay State University out of Clarksville, Tennessee. Kentucky remains undefeated(10-0) through arguably the thoughest stretch of games they have in the schedule proving they're as good as advertised. John Calipari has now tied Adolph Rupp for the best start in UK history for a coach in their 1st season

UConn Hits The "Wall" As Kentucky Defeats UConn To Remain Perfect
It was a back and forth game, Kentucky (4) scoring the first dozen points only to trail it at the half. 2nd half Kentucky and UConn (12) went at it as Kentucky was able to keep it close late in the second. With just a minute remaining, John Wall hits a hard runner in the lane and MAKES it for an And-1 to make the free-throw. Under 35 seconds remaining, Uconn's ball down 2, they just weren't able to convert on their possession as Kentucky's Ramon Harris able to dig out the rebound and gets fouled. He makes the first and missed the second, UConn quickly runs down to their end of the court, airballed the first three, and missed the second shot as the Cats roll over the Huskies.

Kentucky Snaps Losing Streak To UNC, Win 68-66
Kentucky holds off a surging 2nd Half Tar Heels win to escape with a 68-66 win. Kentucky had not beat UK since 2004 until today. UK was once up by 19 points in this game but it all fell apart when John Wall had cramps and had to leave the game, as well as Orton, Cousins, and Bledsoe were in foul trouble. John Wall stole the show early in the first half with many break away dunks and smooth passes to his teammates for the assist. Turnovers killed the Cats in the 2nd Half but it did not stop them from winning. Bledsoe had nerves of steel sinking the clutch free throws for the Cats to holf on to the lead. John Wall would hit the game clinching free throws to seal the deal for the Cats. Patterson lead the Cats with 19 points. It was a heroic performance for the Cats today. They now move within 4 wins of 2000 with 1,996 and are ahead of UNC by 5 with 1,991 wins. This is UK's best start(8-0) since the 1993 season when UK won 11 straight under Rick Pitino.
