Kentucky holds off a surging 2nd Half Tar Heels win to escape with a 68-66 win. Kentucky had not beat UK since 2004 until today. UK was once up by 19 points in this game but it all fell apart when John Wall had cramps and had to leave the game, as well as Orton, Cousins, and Bledsoe were in foul trouble. John Wall stole the show early in the first half with many break away dunks and smooth passes to his teammates for the assist. Turnovers killed the Cats in the 2nd Half but it did not stop them from winning. Bledsoe had nerves of steel sinking the clutch free throws for the Cats to holf on to the lead. John Wall would hit the game clinching free throws to seal the deal for the Cats. Patterson lead the Cats with 19 points. It was a heroic performance for the Cats today. They now move within 4 wins of 2000 with 1,996 and are ahead of UNC by 5 with 1,991 wins. This is UK's best start(8-0) since the 1993 season when UK won 11 straight under Rick Pitino.
