Tayshaun Prince Consecutive Games Played Streak Ends

div>The Detroit Pistons announced that small forward Tayshaun Prince will miss tonight's game against the Orlando Magic because of a lower back strain. This puts an end to his consecutive-start streak of 439 games.

His games-played streak ranked second among active players, behind Andre Miller, and his games-started streak of 439 was the longest active run. The last time Prince didn't play was in a game was during his rookie season. The last time he failed to start was his second year in the NBA.

Rookie Jonas Jerebko will start in his place tonight. Prince was one of the members of the Pistons team that hold the record for the same starting line-up in the most consecutive games that lasted over a period of seasons.
