Tight End Alex Smith Commits To Kentucky
Kentucky has received a verbal commitment from Alex Smith, a tight end prospect from Cincinnati, Ohio. Smith was receiving interest from Kentucky, South Carolina, Cincinnati, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, NC State, Ohio State, Purdue, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The tight end position is a weak spot for Kentucky on the depth chart and Smith is a much desired recruit by UK's coaching staff. Kentucky Wildcats. Huguenin is UK’s 23rd commitment of the 2010 class. He is 6'5" and weighs 250 lbs and can run the 40-yard dash in 4.87 seconds. He is a senior at Lakota West High School. Smith will sign his letter of intent with the Cats tomorrow on National Signing Day. This could be the surprise of the recruiting class that Joker Phillips was hinting about. Rivals.com rates him as a 4-star recruit and UK does not get many commitments with a 4 or 5 star rating. Certainly the Joker Phillips Era looks promising from the recruits that he bas been chasing after as well as the new additions to his coaching staff. There is reason to be quite excited about Kentucky Football this fall.
